All Illinois employers with one or more employees must provide Workplace Sexual Harassment Training and require employees to complete the training once each year. There are no exceptions.
Out of state employers that have employees who will work or supervise in Illinois must provide and require employees to satisfy the same requirements Illinois domiciled employers must satisfy.
If the out of state employer has employees who work or supervise in Chicago, they must satisfy the Chicago sexual harassment training ordinance.
Independent Contractors: employers are not required to train independent contractors. However, it is strongly recommended for independent contractors working on-site or interacting with the employer's staff. Employers are legally responsible for everything that happens at the worksite and can insist. We recommend Independent Contractors complete the requirement and carry the HarassmentWebinars.com wallet card with the QR code displaying compliance when bidding.
